Webinar - Introduction to Gender in Emergencies

Different people have different needs. It sounds obvious, but lots of humanitarian programmes forget it.

That insight is at the heart of Gender in Emergencies work - if we treat everyone the same, then some people will suffer, and even die. And if it's people from one group whose needs we systematically ignore, we'll systematically cause them harm.

In this session, we'll give you a brief overview of gender in humanitarian response - what we mean, why it matters and what aid organisations can do to address it. And there'll be lots of time for your questions - so come along and ask them!
